From their first meeting, Shiinafs polite, unassuming nature is in stark contrast with the straightforward, streetwise Kawasaki, who asks without hesitation gShall we raid a bookstore?h His plan: to steal a Japanese thesaurus as a present for their Bhutanese neighbour. Shiina, somewhat bemused, goes along with the stunt. Without realising it, Shiina has become one of the characters in Kawasakifs bizarre world of fantasy.
