The Australia-Japan Student Film Forum (AJSFF) is a cross-cultural event bringing together emerging filmmakers from Japan and Australia to share their visions through short films. Recent film school graduates will treat audiences to a selection of high-calibre films from both countries.
During the forum, Shigeki Chiba from the Japan Academy of Moving Images and founder of the AJSFF, will present ‘Cineliteracy’, an outreach initiative aimed at addressing Australia’s literacy issues, especially for those from low socio-economic backgrounds.
Running in association with Sydney Film School and the Japan Academy of Moving Images, the forum celebrates its 6th year, where students will vie for Best Awarded Film.
